Klinkmann has been delivering Rockwell Automation Logix-based control solutions for the automation of the Helsinki Metropolitan area metro network for over 20 years. The Rockwell Logix control system ensures the reliability required for metro operations. The extensive system may be maintained around the clock and continuously updated - when needed.
In the latest project, Klinkmann's MI team (Machine Intelligence) updated the Länsimetro (Western Metro) automation in 2024 in collaboration with other project companies.
The modernization was planned and executed to ensure a high level of metro service throughout the project. The project enhanced the level and functionality of the metro's automation based on operational experience, meeting the latest technical requirements and opportunities.
