This privacy notice describes how Klinkmann and its Group companies (collectively “Klinkmann”, “we”, “us”, “our”) process personal data in connection
- with the use of this website and in marketing activities;
- processing of the personal data of the representatives of its partners (including service providers, subcontractors and customers)
- processing of the personal data of the candidates in the recruitment process
The privacy notice also describes the general data protection principles observed by Klinkmann in its operations and explains your rights to your personal data as the data subject.

We recommend you carefully read this statement. In our processing we comply with the requirements of privacy legislation. That means, among other things, that:
- we clearly state the purposes for which we process personal data. We do this by means of this privacy statement;

2. Categories and Sources of Personal Data
In marketing operations, we process personal data for various marketing purposes, such as informing our current or potential business customers about our services or any changes related to them. We also deliver ordered newsletters and communicate with our customers about other aspects of Klinkmann’s operations. We send announcements to subscribers. Additionally, this information is used for internal reporting at Klinkmann. Personal data collected through cookies is also used to optimize website usage and target marketing efforts. In addition, contact information for partner representatives is used for other communication between Klinkmann and its partners, as well as for billing and accounting purposes. Furthermore, this contact information is utilized in delivering services ordered by the partner. For instance, if using the services requires creating user profiles or registering users, the contact details of these representatives are involved. Additionally, partner information is used for Klinkmann’s sales purposes, including identifying and recording various prospects and sales opportunities.
We primarily collect the information used for newsletters and marketing communications directly from you, for example when you fill out forms on our website or otherwise subscribe to our newsletters. If you use our chat service, we will also collect information by that means. In the case of marketing activities for corporate communications, we may also collect your personal data from other public sources, such as the website of the company you represent or public services such as LinkedIn. Corporate communications marketing is always targeted at your represented company and related to your role in the company, not to you personally.
3. Disclosure practices
We disclose personal information if we are required by law or by a court order, in response to a law enforcement agency, to the extent permitted under other provisions of law, to provide information, or for an investigation on a matter related to public safety.
In the course of operating its website and services and data processing, Klinkmann may use third-party subcontractors, service providers and consultants. Klinkmann uses only the services of trusted service providers and subcontractors. Klinkmann processes and stores the personal data described in this privacy notice mainly within the EU and EEA. However, some suppliers of systems or services used by Klinkmann may be located, operate or process data in countries outside the EU and EEA, where the level of data protection may not have been deemed sufficient by decision of the European Commission. We will not sell or otherwise transfer the personal data it processes to third parties for marketing purposes.
With respect to processing activities described in this privacy notice, Klinkmann uses the following suppliers:
- The support service for our marketing automation system: HubSpot
- The support service for our webinar application: MS Office Teams, Livestorm, Skytap
- The development, support, and integration development of customer relationship management systems: SAP, Zoho, HubSpot
If our website or organization is taken over, sold, or involved in a merger or acquisition, your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and will be passed on to the new owners.

We cannot guarantee that these third parties handle your personal data in a reliable or secure manner. Upon request, we will erase personal data from our marketing register within 30 days of receiving the request and verifying the data subject’s identity. |

It is paramount to Klinkmann that the reliability and credibility of the company's systems and personal registers can be maintained and ensured. All processing of personal data complies with data protection legislation, where the essential general laws regulating personal registers and the processing of personal data are the Data Protection Act (1050/2018) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation GDPR (679/2016). The data subject has the right to: - receive information about the processing of their data - gain access to data - rectify data - delete data and be forgotten - restrict data processing - transfer data from one system to another - object to data processing and not be subject to automated decision-making The data subject cannot exercise all the above-mentioned rights in all situations, as the exercise of the rights is affected, for example, by the basis on which the personal data is processed. Klinkmann may need to request certain additional information from the party making the request to allow us to verify their identity. |
14 Right to complain to a supervisory authority |
If you believe that the processing of your data has violated data protection legislation, you can refer the matter to the Data Protection Ombudsman.
